My Comment
This is a compilation for "Bangkok Thrash 2009: Thrash 'Til Drunk"(09-05-09) which is the first Thrash Metal Festival in Thailand. The compilation consists of 12 original tracks from 7 Thai bands that play old school Thrash Metal and related genre such as Thrash Death Metal and Speed Metal. The tracks come in various quality. Some of them are studio tracks. Some of them are demo tracks with very clear sound, but some of them are quite raw (oh my ears bleed..hehe). Mascara and Psychrotrain bringing fresh thrash melodies (WTF really good fast solo), Killing Field and Purgatory playing death with strong thrash influence, quite technical. Black Ciety with post punk influence (em..idk why putting in this album). Overall good start for Vol 1. Really worth compilation. This album is good opportunity to Siamese band rising up.

My Comment
This album is 8 years after "Black Mass" (see my post b4). In this album they include new horde membe "Oleg Smirnoff" as keyboard. Concept changing to more industrial yet still under heavy and thrash influence. Despite new influence added, its still quite enjoyable to me. Guitar solo was not isolated from rythm making they still have strong Power influence. Atmosphere was strange horror and catchy. Another diff approch from "Black Mass" but still leading to same light. Scarlet Woman is the best song among others. Also added whispering girl vocal in few songs (kinda occulism). What else to be expected from the lagendary italian here? Grab and prepare your soul to Majesty of Evil !!

My Comment
After "Impiety", here one more band from lion island (singapore). Istidraj influence based on early Belphegor and Mayhem (hell ya). Yet giving blasphemic old skoll BM to rise. Brutal raw attacking guitar riff, with satanic lyric, this trully BM horde ready to fuck u hardly. one problem is the sound quality. Hope next time they will find good production. At track 7 and aftwerwards, they changed their concept a bit. More melodies and now i can hear the music (wtf). Maybe just for...fullfill the album (-_-).Fans of true raw BM must lookout for ISTIDRAJ or die in mercyful fate!

So this is their 2nd album. Well nothing much changed at this album. Blasting drum beat with more raw and blasphemy !!! Also not many thrash element comparing b4. Recording was bit better than "Oriental Hell Rhythmics". In interviewed with Bloodaxe Magazine b4, Whathayakorn (guitarist) said "As I said the new war hymns will be much faster, less melody and pure blasphemy to the bone, so you can expect a fucking brutal and rawest record from us". Yeah it true..less melody comparing Oriental Hell. Sometime i feel annoying with so many scream in this album. still enjoyable ofc. Yet, Surrender Of Devinity still standing to be 1st and greatest Siamese BM. Good luck and Salute !!

My Comment
They are formed in 1999, one of band that bring up death metal scene in Malaysia. All Break The Silence member is from Silent Death (one of earliest death band in malaysia). They known as be able to recreate back pure death metal scene. For this album, the vocal are in low deep growl with some harsh. I not too agree since it will become grind. btw i like vocal in "Insanity".  They also had many idea in eleborating and catchy riff. Good fast solo too. Drum beat was blast and kicking ass. Sound quality is better than previous album. hope can became more better later. Salute them !!!!

My Comment
Here BM scene from our neighbour, Thailand. They are raw, old school BM. Some sort like early Immortal and Impaled Nazarene. Vocal are evil, high pitch scream. I like his vocal. Lyrics based on anti christian. (hmm..satanic will be great). Guitar riff was noisy disorted and raw. Quite catchy. Drum beat was blast. Fast yet enjoyable. "Conquerors of the Apocalypse" has 10min length full with energic evil atmospheric. Very interesting song to hear. "To Reach Out for Eternity" had some thrash element. Not very well arrangement rythm (lol). Exitement continue with "Satans Malicious Fire", a well technical riff, old school sound. Not much change concept on "Blasphemous Beast Rising" and "Paradise Brothel". Good track to hear. i choose "Paradise Brothel" and "Conquer of Apocalype" as best track.Conclusion, this album will fuvk u hardly. Recommended to raw fans. Salute Asian Scene !!!

My Comment
Aosoth is back with this new album Ashes of Angel that produce in october. their sound was griffy, and pure BM. Full with heavyiness riff, tremolo picking, deep scream and super drum blast beat. Sound quality was not bad. The album start with "Song without lungs". Drum was really sharp and really fast. Many variation beat.
The song continue with "Ashes to Angels" that continuing from "Song without lungs". "Path of twisted light" is the best track among others. Good noisy dark riff with fastpicking, much slower other song, very awesome dark atmosphere aswell. Lastly cover song from Antaenus (raw BM). The cover was not bad. i give 7/10 for originality. Overall, good album for collection. Salute !!!!

My Comment
Death SS ftw !!! They was earliest heavy horror metal band with thrash influence. With face painting, they also contribute trademark to metal scene later on. Their lyrics based on evil, horror and occult (much similar to King Diamond). Death SS had leads and coins many of black death scene in this era. Now getting through this album, This album they not into industrial yet. More based on heavy metal with some thrash element. Most track had their own strength and style. Guitar riff was cathy, heavy and dark. Well sometime the riff become slow. Fully melodical with good fast solo. Drum was superb. double pedal to support the dark atmosphere, and some with thrash element. Bass also awesome. Vocal are wonderful (similar a bit with Helloween). I do enjoying all the track. Most are favourite. Overall I really recommended to all metal lover. Black Mass was fucking rule !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well here one more melodical BM band. Most of their song over than 5 minute which if they cant make a good song, it will be hell boring. Technical riff with many fast picking solo, and kind of repetitive. Drum also not many variation (fast snare ofc). the vocal are quite good. Keyboard just supporting the rythm. Sometime they perform in slow rythm. In 1st two track i was ..... -_- .  I pick "In the Shadow of the Labarum" and  "Twilight Synod" as best track.
Hope they can improved later.

After three years from "Proxima Centauri", now come "Night Visit". Since i donno how they sound like, so lets through the album. The album start with "Envision of the Beast".  Good raw rythm.. Not same as other melodic band like illnath etc. Guitar riff was heavy, noisy and raw !! sometime aphazel (guitarist) with clean effect and fast solo. The vocal was super evil. awesome scream. I bet the drummer is the best BM drum ever. he was super fast. Many variation beat. Track 2 will shown how good they are. Some song is using keyboard but not much ("night visit" has good dark ambient element). Overall, they do taking melodical to one step higher. Recommended this album. Salute !!

My Comment
Pioneer in blackened doom scene !!! hail Bethlehem !!! . They had long journey in spreading BM influence. They been hated and banned in few cities in germany in 1st few album cause of "violence influence". They inspire doom scene to grow. "Dark Metal" compiles wonderful black doom scene in strong constructive guitar riff, well dissortion, with well melancholy solo While the basses sometime stand alone and place it uniquely.  "The Eleventh Commandent" tells anything about them. Love this song. "Apocalyptic Dance" starts in doom and mix with black later and also church organ effect (had some thrash also). The vocal had deeper inspiration. full of desperated, and emotions. "Second Coming" and "Funereal Owlblood" had very awesome doom riff. Drummer also act well to differentiate between doom and black (i think the drummer had thrash influence). I pick "Vargtimmen" as best among other. As conclusion, Recommended as collection.

Keep of Kalessin bringing mediacore type BM (not my type -_- ). With clean recording sound, it really brighting them to impress their music. The album starts with instrumental in "Origin". "A new empire birth" was energic. Compiling metalcore & melodic BM outside the boundaries. Drumbeat was fast, claw vocal (Dissection scream) and good heavy riff. "Against the God" attract me which at end of song have drum breakdown with variation of beat. Really outstanding. "Rising sign" showing epic and saddness theme which drawn by keyboardist. Overall, good album to have. im not metalcore type so i not really interested (lol wtf). Salute !!!

eh..Magus again (vocalist from Thou Art Lord) and who wonder their using percussion and sax element in few of their song. With also using 8-string bass guitar,ofc the sound was awesome. Their lyrics is based on Greek Myth (Therion ftw). "Devilskin" start with whooping wind and memorial toybox effect. Noisy and fast riff, dark atmosphere and well synth,  kicking ass drum beat and evil scream (love Magus vocal). The exitement continue with "Black Mirror" and track 3. Well in track 4, Magus using clean vocal, percussion, synth and sax in this song. The atmosphere was really dark, and the sax was classical and creepy !! . Pick this song as best track among others. Then "Pretender to the throne" start with familiar orchestral theme song (i cant recall). Well overall, this album is kicking ass !!
Recommended to all BM fans.

i was so exited to hear other album by them. Well now they been more heavier than Anatolia. Intro in "We come from nowhere" with heavy short song with traditional influence (flute etc). They enjoyment continue with "In Esir like an Eagle". Many other tempo in this album was slow and bit bored for me but when they going fast, they rules !!. Awesome middleast solo and strength melodies. Good to make their diff then other band out there. Afterwards, i still kind upset with this album comparing to Anatolia. Yet Anatolia is still better for me.

My Comment
Known as Mezarkabul and Pentagram (outside Turkey), they is one of lagendary turkish metal band.
Their sound is unique and not as other heavy metal band. Bringing dark middle-east riff. This album is not thrash influence anymore. Many riff was repetitive but they do know what the best for their listener. Im kinda addicted with their song. "Behind The Evil" was the best track among others. Drum beat was awesome, variable and unique. Thanks to heavy guitar riff & remarkable solo that lead all the middle east riff perfectly. For Vocal, i rather hope it kinda like SOAD (lol ) and Root (check my before post). After been listen to 12 track heavy riff, acoustical ballad in "Sonsuz" completing the album. Yet was really enjoyable song. Furthermore, i recommended this album to all. Salute and keep it up good work !!

They had perform in Unirock Open Air Festival II with Kreator, Amon Amarth, Rotting Christ etc. Bringing on Melodic (but Symphonic for me), with anti-religion & anti-human (Capathian Forest ftw) lyric. Going to the album, Although the music shown plain and simple, but they do attract me. "Tabula Rasa" starts with depressive string and atmosphere by keyboard. Good vocal (dimmu style?), noisy disortion guitar. Epic and evil also unique. My Fav Track is "C.R.Y". "Forlorn Till Dawn" is their popular song. Yes it does. The song was freaking awesome. Good palm mute and middle east atmosphere. Well overall, Episode 13 rules !!!

Nowadays, theres a lot band under the skirt to dimmu and old mans child influence. some say it do good to commercial and supporting the scene. yet still some ppl rather like band who are experimental and trying to get away to fixed concept. Illidiance not much diff than other (70% for me). Btw they still can find their personality. Fast palm muting and technical play with great dark/electronic ambient and some drudkh style for keyboard, really fast drum beat and lack with growl. What i like is they keep changing and changing the fast rythm (which is hard to play). My fav track is "Chaoticon Nomads". Well theres not much electronic element involve as thier genre are. Maybe can make more outherspace scene (lool in track 8). Overall, this album quite good. Salute !!

Releasing in Nov 24, bringing on Black Metal music with sweedish atmospheric element. This band is formed in 2009 with duo lineup. This is their 1st album also. Well they not as normal stereotype BM. They much slower and brining nature lyrics.For rythm, they not too dark (but awesome atmosphere !!! ) Get through the album, "Skugguna Kallar" and "Under Fullmanens Sken"is my fav track. awesome driven guitar riff with good atmosphere. Well elaborate riff and rythm. The drum also act well but do its too slow me. For vocal, pain ghoul (still lack) with some clean voice. mixing with acoustic supporting choir keyboard effect. "Host" and "Skymning" is good acoustical song. for other track i just can close my eyes and enjoying their good atmospheric ambient. Good start for duo band member. Good luck in coloring BM scene. Recommended and Salute !!..

Herecome Moon 2nd album after 2 years from "Daemons Heart". What can i say..they really improved. Still maintaining traditional symphonic, good melodical guitar solo, dark middle east effect sound by keyboard, new improved pain growl. "Lucifer light" and "fallen angel" really shown how good they are. Yet they still not recruit any keyboardist (zzz..symphonic without any keyboardist). The sessionist keyboard was really awesome. Very good atmosphere (thumb up !!). Drum beat also improved and so fast (hope not programmable like previous album).More guitar riff not technical as "Daemons Heart". This album also better than "Daemons Heart". Recommended to all symphonic fans. Heard they are reformed back this year. Looking forward to their next album. Salute !!!

Symphonic Black Metal been around since mid to late 90s and Moon is one among them. So nice to get old traditional symphonic band without any viking element (Emperor ftw !!).  For this album they just using sessionist for keyboardist (maybe they still looking for it). Few early track was energic. The rythm was fast and supporting atmosphere by keyboard. Not very dark but still good. Growl is average for me but still not attract me :) . "The Shining" has much deeper rythm than other track. In last few track, they sound like very technical. Overall this album will not dissapoint u either. Great stuff..salute !!

My Comment
Belarus is located between Russia and Ukraine (noob me). I was impressed with this band. Like gold in the mud (cause it 1st i heard Belarus..zzz).Dark intro in "Processiya". Very symphonic. The keyboard act well to create dark ambient music while the simple memoriable technical riff by guitar. "Maska Krasnoy Smerti" is my fav track. The drum beat was great. Not many variation but still good.. Many rythm elaborate variety. The they not much similar to other ukrainian and russian band either. i wonder what is their influence. Well in the next more track, i feel they been into industrial than symphonic at 1st. Sound bit like The Covenant.  furthermore, i still do enjoying other track. Well good luck for them . Recommended. My Comment
This album is released in Nov 2009 (woot still new album). Well this album much heavier than previous album. Bringing viking combine with dark music. damn i like their rythm so much. Its diff than other black viking band out there. Not heavy viking element like Ensiferum or Equilibrium or Windir. The lead guitar mixing viking/folkish solo while heavier rythm by 2nd guitar and bass. Good galloping aswell. The growl is awesome too. supporting by clean vocal ( i better like Ensiferum clean vocal) but sure does it will not dissapointing either. Although they had violin player but its not lead the rythm (like Korpiklaani) and just supporting and making viking atmosphere. The drummer act well, many variation beat, loose to Ensiferum (sorry XD ) yet still enjoyable. Well overall this album is good. "Nattvasen" is my really fav track. I will review their other album in next post . Recommended !!!

Form in 1983, bringing power metal music (power metal golden era ofc). After 4 years making demo, now this is their 1st album. "Conversio Prelude" starts with folkish sound. Well track two remember me to...iron maiden ofc !!! . The diff is the sound is a bit darker. Not very much slow solo. Just concentrate on catchy riff and maintaining their speed. Good for me then (no Hammerfall whatsoever..hehe). Vocal is great. Drum beat is static a bit. I hope next album will be more melodical riff. Well this good album for maiden fans.

This album is release on 7th August 2009. "Silence of Boreal" looked have more symphonic element than melodical. But they do have their trademark. Their guitar have many good technical riff with sometime a clean sound supporting ambient atmosphere by keyboard. The vocal is not too clear which is good for me. Great scream ofc. The drum is quite good. changing drum beat between double pedal and fast snare. But not much idea evolve from the beat. "An Animistic Awakening" was totally good song for me. Love it. Well i like their style combining clean guitar sound in the middle of fast rythm in "A Trail Blood in Snow". Also supporting opera choir and keyboard finished it perfectly. Well accomplished. Good acoustic with folkish element in "Hymn of The Fallen". "Codex Canadiensis" is same style as "Trail Blood in Snow". I really hope their will keep this style in next album. Overall, Great album. Not very best but also good to hear.

My Comment
This is 1st Taake album. Well straight to review this album. For me its like a second wave of BM. "Vid I" bring me to old black metal memories. Their song build in various rythm with some folkish influence. Guitar riff was like razor blade that leads the band onwards. Quite technical with some neoclassical element. Combining electric and sometime clean effect they really can elaborate all the rythm very perfectly. Even the bass also isolated riff, not just followed the leads but supporting to make a super melodical. By vocal, salute to Ulvhedin Hoest. he perform very well in high pitch and scream. For drum, it was fast..not much idea to finishing the great riff and others but not very dissapointed also. Overall, I enjoying every single track. Great masterpiece. I just hoping they can make a good quality recording. Recomended to all Black Metal lovers.

My Comment
This is their 1st album that release in 2002. They combining gothic and black metal with lyrics based on paganism and occult. Most of Cadaveria is from Opera IX (my fav band) and the name cadaveria is from their female vocal. With virtuoso symphonic in "Spell", i quite shock with their genre. I like cadaveria in Opera IX rather than like this. Well nice effort its sound like old heavy metal vocal. To all donno how cadaveria vocal look like, it softer than Arch Enemy and harder and Kittie. Then with Track 2, quite bored..Best track for me is Track 3. Well what i like about Cadaveria is the riff and rythm is not same as Opera IX although most of Opera IX member. Bad news is this album not too good. Well good effort.

My Comment
Finland ftw !! at 1st i thought it just like Funeral (last review). Surely not. Starts with "These Woods Breathe Evil" , similar to Dark Lunacy. Quite awesome orchestra. Then come the voice by Mikko (Algazanth vocal also).  Diff with Algazanth is this mixing the low and high picth vocal and clean vocal . Well i like the voice. The music is not slow as Doom.  Then come with melodic death riff in "Falling World". i just really impressed with the riff. Not so hard and not so slow. Now Mikko mixing with clean vocal. Damn so good song. "Sleepless Swans" not so much diff then "Falling World". Also good melodical song. Now Track 5 with mixing with clean girl vocal (idk her name). The riff and style not same as above song. Quite nice horror scene. In "New Moon" Mikko using clean vocal over it. Well conclusion for me, they are good band.
Not much diff then Algazanth because they do talented in various riff in all song.
Recommended to all. Well done ..

My Comment
"Acid is the name, heavy metal is our game !!". What can i say..i just impress with "Acid". Old thrash riff and drums, and the girl clean vocal (named Kate) is not to hard and not to "pop ish". Kate is one of earliest female metal singer. Well their lyric is based on metal, sex and satan (wooooot) and all their lyric is simple and enjoyable to sing (really thanks to Kate). Their riff is much softer than Motorhead. For me its like revolusion between dark element and thrash thats coins to many heavy metal band later on. The Drum was really enjoyable and fast. Whatever the songs, all the riff is awesome. i really enjoying all the track.. Between this two album, "Acid" is better for me. Its more thrashing than Metal. "Maniac" has many metal element than thrash. For Kate vocal, i choose "Acid" also. Many good songs i cant choose which is best. Well i recommended this album to all metal fans out there.
Special thanks to Acid because making metal scene to grown.

Here goes Ukrainian metal scenes. Astrofaes is also big name same like Drudkh, Lucifugum, Nokturnal Mortum etc. Well btw this band member is all from Drudkh (loool) and with many sessionist member among them also (zzz). Well their sound not like Drudkh, Lucifugum, Noktural Mortum either. Astrafaes mix raw rythm with some epic element (less than Drudkh) and with fast picking. Also not raw as Lucifugum or not evil scream like Nokturnal Mortum. "The Depth of the Past" is really good instrumne song..fukin epic and good old guitar effect. What i really like Astrofaes is their melodies that are never ending until end of the song. Track 4 was evil !! the rythm never stop. Well done keyboard for making a very dark music. "The Abyss" also is good song. 30% ingredient with Drudkh : ) . Well "Glacial Darkness" is also instrumental song with medieval element. As the songs never end. I recommended this for all Drudkh fans and BM fans out there..

My Comment
Well this is their 1st album produce in 22/09/08. Well this quite nice because they have their own strength with many refreshing idea in their song. Noisy disortion, melancholy rythm. not too raw and not too smooth.
"Pinaz Andawlitjam" is a really good song. They elaborate every rythm perfectly. Although the sound quality not too nice (drum beat not very clear), i really can close my eyes and enjoy this song. "Mittsommerregen" also not dissapointed."Ruinen" start with post rock rythm, depressive scream (bad for me), noisyy riff..but good in acoustical...Now "Kalte Tage" really attract me. Better track compare others. They really shown up this time. "Ein" is instrumental song..quite ambient..now i can really avoid any scream..keep up good work.

Many ppl miss categorized with this band. They are Doom Death. not Funeral Doom..so whatsover, lets hear how this album are. Eh..wtf track 1 is corrupt. lazy to download again..so skip to "From these wounds". They creating a simple and easy to memorise riff, clean saddd vocal, ambient sound....much slower than Anathema. melodical with loneliness and sad atmosphere. Mixing Doom and Death scene. "From these wound" and "The Architecture of Loss" is great. Well done with melodical solo and riff. Great ambient in "Red Moon". "Vagrant God" starting with bored repeating rythm and become good in middle song (with melancholy solo). For Vocal i think "From these wounds" is the best. Well sorry i gotta say i like dark doom atmosphere rather than sad and loneliness rythm. Well nice effort u guys..I pick Track 2,3 & 4 as good to hear.

Em...remind me to Limbonic Art. "Winterpath" fukin rule. great atmospheric by keyboard, bad ass drum beat, evil pain scream and good raw guitar riff.  Not bad for track 2. Super great atmospheric riff and then change to deep cold riff and the ambient sound from base guitar..Track 3 start with choir effect (booringg). i really hope their using concept in track 1 and 2.  "The Eternal Nightfall" making me feel like im in dark freezy oak forest. was great vocal compare others track..all was perfect.  "Northern Flames" not very dark..just symphonic only. facinating with the drum beat make me continue listening this song....I pick "Winterpath" , "Towards the forest horizon", "The Eternal Nightfall" , "Riding the Starwinds" as good song to hear. This is Menhir 1st album. More raw than later album. "Menhir" was totally awesome. It has very strong old riff and better drummer (Tormentor from Graveworm ftw). For vocal, i think their next album was better than this one (except growl and harsh vocal). Keyboard just supporting the majestic riff by guitar. Lack galloping rythm compare to later album. Well some ppl rather like an old sound..so i recommended this album. I pick "Menhir", "Schwertzeit", "Tag der Vergeltung" (damn i like the drum beat). Salute Menhir !!

Equilibrium? Falkenbach? Germany should be proud to Menhir also. They have the root..and the talent. Starting with strong riff and symphonic in "Wotans Runenlied". Good galloping for sure. Softer than equilibrium, very good growl with clean vocal ofc (thats viking are). They variable their riff until i didnt notice i still in track 1 (lol). Track 2 more on old viking/pagan songs. Great riff and solo...this time they elaborate the riff slowly. Track 3 is acoustic with ambient keyboard (much similar to falkenbach). Track 4 with many vibrato solo (coolies) more melodies, and for me its not too good song compare b4. "Valhalla" is back on the track. Good intro and great symphonic. "Ziuwari" start in slow and became rough later. much heavier than other track b4. Conclusion, Its good for viking/pagan fans. Salute Menhir !!

Well there goes new metal cover to britney. Well theres no cover album so i made one myself (woot). Well Btw track 1 is from Kevorkian (death groove metal). This cover sucks and not technical as other their songs. Next from Type O Negative. Well this is quite good (slow funky riff) and good vocal from Peter Steele. He really can be pop singer (lool). Most of Ten Masked Man songs is cover song. Their best cover for me is" Gangster Paradise". Skip Christian Lee and go with Bodom. I hope this one is ok too..Oh hell yah...Nice vocal by Laiho. With mix with britney as backup vocal. Thanks to the solo : )  . Black Ingvars combine their style (heavy+electronic) with this cover. Great Electronic and synth. Gorath take really right song for them and elaborate it perfectly. Good riff !! Made the toxic as best good cover. SugarComa also not too bad. With girl vocal and backup scream vocal. Now Crystall Ball showing their also talented with cover song. Good heavy metal voice. With great solo too. Best songs after Gorath. Last song was Local X. Everything was great accept their voice. Eversince the previous post b4, i interested to heard more from them. This is their 1st album. Well.. this album is not so heavy than "Divine.Desecrate.Complete". Full of symphonic influence. And i love when they play in slow mode. Guitar riff also not so technical. "Twillight Sigh" really attracted me. Well work guys. Now finally then get melodical over the symphonic in "Autumn Misty Might". "Nevercoming" had best vocal (higher pitch than dimmu) but this song a bit bored."Fire in my eyes" also same concept as "Nevercoming. I love the church organ in "Inquisition of bleeding god" and "Dust rising" (pffff theatres des vampires had stop play this sound). For conclusion this album is not so bad. All song still great. but to compare with "Divine.Desecrate.Complete", this album loose.. Also recommended.

The intro start with synth,low deep vocal,girl screaming and pain. Continue track two was awesome !! full of dark atmospheric and symphonic. good guitar riff. The drummer also act well. I like their combination between high pitch scream and low deep growl. They capable to eleborate their music nicely. Track 4 had diff synth concept not like other track b4. Afterall the track also enjoyable and good also. Track 7 has a best facinating drum beat ever !!! ..The best track is "Bloodline Desire" btw the other track also quite good. i really enjoying all the songs. They rules it. For Symphonic lover, highly recommended.

My Comment
For long time i not post on Viking Section, so here come. I actually really impress with this band coz this is their 1st full length album and still capable to stand like others old band. Well "Skogskvad" is really fun. Softer than Enslaved, more enjoyable than Tyr (pfff Tyr fans), with full melodical and just simple riff, combining growl with clean vocal,  and they just flow it perfectly. The best part is acoustic part in the middle of the song. "Kronet til konge" is the best riff and rythm among alls songs. "Skumring" is instrumental slow song with viking and epic environment (instrument by keyboard and bassoon). "Hugin og munin" is not very good as other track. Track 7 had strong riff and good drum beat. All the track is good.For me its the best viking album. Thanks Galar for making really great stuff. Looking forward to your next album.

Starting with "Charagma", i was a bit shock with no intro and really fast rythm. Oh btw, this is 1st time i heard their album and i just thinking they similar to Aneroxia Nervosa. Really love this song. Catchy Rythm, Good Scream. They had nice rythm, bad ass drummer with supporting keyboard to keep the dark atmosphere. Well continue with track 2,  their rythm changing and become Acturus + Dimmu. I still cant predict their trademark. Track 3 made me upset due to same concept as track 2 ( I need "Charagma" concept badly). Track 4 starts with deep bass and melodical part (thats why their called melodic lol). For me its a diff melodic BM (quite bored..so skip it)."Sulphur Spiral" start with really fast cool solo and bored later (with choir effect and ambient keyboard ). "Wraith Reveries" also start with nice fast solo and bored later (well now theres clean vocal over it). Ah lol "SYN" also same. Conclusion, ONLY "Charagma" rules !!..

This is their demo album. The album start with with gate sound and dark growl. Nice one. Then continue with track 2 with very nice riff and bad quality recording. So many scream until its hard to heard the riff. They was fast and full energic. Very nice solo aswell (same style like Death). Good track to hear. Track 3 start with instrumental sound (sound like Amorphis and Lake of tears) and very bad drum record. Track 4 had many good riff and great tapping solo. Now they really mess up the song. Vocal in track 5 are the worst than other track. Track 7 is good and super fast drum beat. I like this track. Ghost track? Ooo..track with no sound...zzzz..well btw now they had split. so sad but nice work..Salute.

Chthonic? Sunoi? Oh well..there is one more good asia band. With many session musican (therion ftw), this band mix black & death melodical + traditional in their songs. Well recorded also. "Wondering soul" make me wonder this band is similar like illnath and dark tranquility. The keyboard effect was awesome and full with melodical and is a main key for this band. Bla bla bla track 3 was crap. The crap continue with track 4 and some others. Many of the riff and drum are quite repeatative and feel boreeeed. "Road too.." is instrumental music with traditonal korean Hae-geum (i guess). They should choose either to play black or melodic death. For melodic lover, i hope this rock u up. Good effort you guys.

This is their compilation album. The 1st and 2nd  song is RAW !! all thing was great accept awful song quality : (   Well btw they had really good high pitch scream also fast drum and cathy riff. "The Black Weapon" is quite bored (this from their 1st album)...well..the raw continue with track 4. Evil sound nice scream dark atmosphere. I like this song. then continue with track 5 and 6 with same songs name but diff sound. The song quality been better now but losing their raw ( pffff ). Track 6 with choir effect by keyboard.
With changing lineup..its more to be atmospheric influence rather than raw at 1st (sad lol).

huh? Psychedelic? Whats that? Well psychedelic is some soft of mind manifesting. Track 1 start with noisy riff and melancholic violin. Its like song from My Dying Bride - For my fallen angel with noisy riff. (lool the violin is played by My Dying Bride Member !!).  After long intro and comes the dark deep growl. Nice growl dude. Em..very interesting dark rythm in track 2. Now i can feel what the psychedelic is about. The sound of drum not very clear in fast mode. Track 3 is quite bored at beginning. I pick track 2 and 5 as good to hear.

Gun in mouth? are they sound thrash? or old skool BM? or Impaled Nazarene? hell no. They are more on depressive BM. Most of the sound not very heavy like other BM out there. Not stereotype BM or depressive either. I can feel it like Opeth style in black mode.They are combining slow and fast rythm, with melancolic solo and acoustic part supporting ambient sound by keyboard. Most of lyric is based on depressive and hate. All the growl pitch accordingly to rythm. I really enjoying all their songs. Looking forward for you guys.

They are 2nd wave of BM although their name was not big as Hellhammer, Celtic Frost and etc. Many said their songwriting was superb. I admit it They really doing some research here. They approch in dark sound with clean voice maintaining the BM ideology. Most their song was not simplistic and fixed but have many variation. Starting with instrumental in Lykorian and acoustic guitar in Kargeras Prologue. I pick "Kargeras" is the best track. Others track i pick "Prophet Song", "Equirhodon ", "Dygon" coz the very interesting dark music ^^. Woot..very nice 'dark' galloping rythm in "Trygan". They are brilliant, Salute !!

This album had released in february this year. There only two member (one only play violin, one more play others). Opening melancholy violin intro in Der Geiger supporting with ambient sound by keyboard, they was awesome !! (last i heard the good violin is The sin of thy beloved). The "Narrenshyff" was amazing !!!. What i like about this band is although length per song almost 10 min, they not quite bored and full with variation and expanding the melodic. I can feel like "My dying bride + Tvangeste (slow mode) + Sin of thy beloved .

My Comment:
They was 2nd wave BM and best sound recorded in early 90s. im not hearig yet thier previous album, i hope i can hear it soon. This was compilation album and feature some songs from thier early demo. 1st track was DOOM !! and with the magical eko chant "Eko, Eko, Azarak, Eko, Eko, Zamilak, Eko, Eko , Cernnunos, Eko, Eko, Aradia" . 2nd track also rule !!.. Track 3 is more to some early heavy metal (em..like metallica riff -_-) . The magical spirit continue with 4th,5th and all other track. I cant pick the best track, so i select all track is the best..Tq Evol...thanks for this great stuff... Salute !!
